On Sunday 31st May 2020 Green Party Women held our second online conference for members of Green Party Women This month we focussed on the dreadful effects of air pollution. We had some fantastic guest speakers.
Rosamund Kissi-Debrah is the GPW's first appointed Spokes Woman on Air Pollution. She discussed her legal fight for recognition that toxic levels of air pollution were a contributory factor in the death of her 9 year old daughter, Ella Roberta, who died in 2013 from a rare and severe form of asthma.
We were also joined by Cambridge University MRC-Toxicology department researchers, Rebeka Popovic and Dr. Lisa Selly who (as part of a research team) have published a paper on the Link between covid 19 deaths and Air Pollution.
