Debra Cooper is another one of our wonderful Green Party Women members who is working tirelessly to secure Green votes. She features here as part of our celebration of the women who are standing as parliamentary candidates for the Green Party.
Debra is a seasoned campaigner who has fought to protect green spaces from inappropriate development in Cardiff and regularly partakes in beach cleaning in Porthcawl. She has a background in teaching. She has been a forest school practitioner, rugby coach and helped to teach children how to grow fruit and vegetables.
As a long time Green Party member Debra is currently standing as the parliamentary candidate (PPC)for Bridgend in the 2024 General Election.
Debra wants to restore faith in politicians and aims to lead by example. She wants an alternative future for the constituents of Bridgend by offering them Real Hope and Real Change.
Debra says:
“Our schools and our NHS are understaffed and in crisis. Our land, our food supplies and our waterways are in need of substantial attention and investment.
We must act now as a community to save our planet for future generations.”
